Here are five, toxin free ways to achieve this. When experimenting start with just a little bit, and keep adding until you achieve your desired color!

Pomegranate juice – (my favorite) Add a few splashes of pomegranate juice into any beauty product and mix well. Not only does pomegranate juice turn any product into a beautiful shade of pink, it also neutralizes harmful free radicals that damage skin!

Cherry Juice – Add a few splashes into any beauty product and mix well. Cherry juice contains antioxidants that fight signs of aging, vitamin A that repairs damaged skin cells, and has antibacterial properties that fight against acne.

Raspberries – Mash a few berries and strain the juice, or add mashed raspberries directly to beauty product. Raspberries contain vitamin C which helps reduce the appearance of age spots. They also contain a high amount of antioxidants, which are known to make skin age more slowly.

Strawberries – Mash berries and mix well into any beauty product. Strawberries have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They contain ellagic acid which help reduce skin spots and lighten scars. They cleanse skin and prevent acne, and the vitamin C naturally present in strawberries delay the aging process.

Beet juice/powder – Mix beet juice or beet root powder into product. Beetroot makes your skin smooth and supple, because it removes the top layer of dead skin cells. It prevent signs of aging, reduces the appearance of blemishes, and moisturizes dry skin.

When making homemade beauty products with food products, it’s always best to keep them refrigerated and use them up completely within about a week.
