How to Use Frankincense Essential Oil

“If it’s good enough for Jesus, it’s
good enough for me!” – my dad

In my opinion, Frankincense is the best essential oil out there. If I was limited to picking only one oil to use for the rest of my life, I would choose Frankincense because it works for pretty much everything.

It supports your skin, immune system, nervous system, respiratory system, musculoskeletal system, and supports healthy cell regeneration. It’s definitely my favorite essential oil, but maybe I’m biased, because I also happen to know someone named Frank who I love a lot.

So what exactly can you use Frankincense essential oil for?

Take Care of Yourself – Frankincense is just really really good for you, the more I read about this oil the more I want to use it. Using Frankincense on a regular basis will help support cellular regeneration, support healthy joint and cartilage function, boost your immune system, and alleviate minor aches and pains associated with daily life. so everyone should be applying it to their skin daily!
Stay Calm – Frankincense is calming and relaxing. When you inhale an essential oil, the molecules of the oil travel directly up your nose to your limbic system, the part of your brain that holds memories and emotions. Becaue of this, this oil helps to gently soothe away tension and alleviate the blues. Inhale directly from the bottle, swipe a few drops under your nose, diffuse, or put in a diffuser necklace.
Face Cream – Frankincense has a visual tightening effect on the skin. I apply it to my face every day to reduce acne and get rid of scarring. But a lot of people also use it to slow signs of aging on the skin, such as wrinkles or liver spots. You can apply it directly to your skin, or mix it with other ingredients to make a face cream. (If you are like me and get a lot of acne, you should probably use an oil like olive or grapeseed that is less likely to clog your pores)

Body Lotion/Fade Stretch Marks – Mix 1 cup of coconut oil with about 10-20 drops of Frankincense (add more or less based on preference.) Apply to skin daily to help smooth and hydrate skin naturally.

Happy Teeth – Adding a drop of Frankincense to your toothbrush before brushing will help support oral health.

Pretty Nails – If your nails stained or brittle, there are natural ways to make them pretty! Combine 1 tablespoon of baking soda, a splash of lemon juice, and a few drops of Frankincense oil in a bowl. Blend ingredients and then apply the mixture to each nail individually. Leave for ten minutes and then rise with warm water. You will be left with shiny new nails!

See Clearly – Regularly rubbing a couple drops of Frankincense oil on the skin around each eye will help promote better vision. (If you accidentally get oil in your eye, simply put a little bit of coconut, olive, or vegetable oil in the corner of your eye and the essential oil will be removed almost immediately.
