How to Use Lemon Essential Oil
press only one bottle of lemon oil
Honey Lemon Lip Scrub – Like I said above lemon oil is really good for skin, but so are lip scrubs. I am a big fan of lip scrubs because they replace the need for chapstick. Mix together 3 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of coconut oil or olive oil, (optional) 1 tsp of honey, around 1-4 drops of lemon oil.
Say Goodbye to Cellulite – Mix a a tbsp of coconut oil with 5-7 drops of lemon oil and apply to affected areas. Remember how I said lemon oil eats away at petrochemicals? A lot of people believe that cellulite is really just petrochemicals stored up in our fat cells.
Soft Feet – If you happen to have extremely rough skin on your feet, rub a few drops of lemon oil on them every day to soften them.
Natural Hair Highlighter – Get ready for golden locks!!! Rub a couple drops of lemon oil in between your palms and then run hands over hair. Or, combine a few drops of lemon oil and water in a glass spray bottle and spritz hair. For best results sit out in the sun. Test these on a small strand of hair first just to make sure you get your desired results.
Natural “Windex” – Fill a spray bottle with half water, half vinegar, and 5-10 drops of lemon essential oil for an all natural way to keep windows clean and pretty looking!
Furniture Polish – Makes cabinets or wood furniture look new again (I’m dead serious it’s kind of surprising how much of a difference it makes.) Test first on a small section of wood to make sure you will receive desired results.
Sticky Messes – A drop of lemon oil can help remove label residue from jars, gum from hair, or even things like crayon stains on the walls or carpet!
Homemade “Bleach” – Make your sink look brand new! Combine 4 cups of water, 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide, and ten drops of lemon essential oil and let it sit in sink for 15 minutes.
Leather Protector – Add a few drops of lemon oil to a cloth and rub down anything made of leather to protect it and keep it from splitting!
